Our First Chateau Party
Some of the Insead students live in chateaus in neighbouring villages and it is tradition that these chateaus host great parties. In addition to their rent they all pitch in for a party budget to cover decorations, snacks and alcohol. The best thing is that the chateaus all have a cleaning person so after the party ends and everyone goes to bed they wake up to a clean house, all evidence of the party gone, except the headache...We went to our first one last Thursday. So we got into our car and after 35 minutes of driving down deserted forest roads and through little villages we arrived at the party (yes they are a long ways out, Doug would never make it to class on time if we lived that far away!) This chateau was totally decked out with a sound system and lights, it was like being at a club where everyone is a friend and the booze is free! Anyhow this week it is another chateau that is hosting - we'll get some pictures this time.
