Island Paradise

Well, it was a pretty relaxing, sunny way to end the year. Almost 200 student and partners traveled to Hvar for one final get together before everyone goes their separate ways. Being a fairly small town everywhere you turned you could say hi to someone you knew, it was a neat 4 days.

Day 1...
Started with a drink on a waterside patio. Then was the exercise for the day which was walking up to the castle on the hill top for another drink. Then back down again for lunch and a drink. Followed by a nap on the beach and finally an amazing dinner.

Day 2...
Was supposed to be scuba diving, only the diving was terrible. So we did one dive and then just hung out on the boat for the day; swimming, sun bathing and having a diving competition lead by Doug's famous swan dive! The highlight of the day was dinner at an amazing sea food restaurant where the guy said "don't order anything I will bring you what you need. I cook for you like I cook for my family" - it was awesome!

Day 3...
Was a drive to the other end of the island for lunch with a beach stop on the way back. And of course another seafood dinner.

Day 4...
20 of us piled onto 2 sailing boats for the day. We had great wind and got to try our hand at steering, working the ropes or just sitting enjoying the sunshine. We had a seafood lunch on a beach before heading back to Hvar for the evening.

Day 5...
Everyone was up early to checkout and leave. Apparently the plane ride home was much quieter then the ride there due to a late night the night before by many! And we got back into our car to start the drive home.
