Summer Fun
Wow, it has been forever since we sat down to write a blog posting!It has been a busy summer. After Doug's graduation we spent a week in London sorting out a place to live, bank accounts and cell phones. Then we flew off to BC for 5 weeks of summer vacation - although it wasn't all fun. The first few days were spent at our storage locker sorting out what was going to be shipped over and what was going to be given away and what was going to be stored in Doug's parents crawl space (lucky them!). But we got t all done fairly quickly and then movers came and took away all our stuff - well almost all our stuff, but after a call from the storage place to tell us that a couple of our boxes were in the freight elevator, a panicked drive out to get the boxes, and a drop off with the not very apologetic movers - we think now all of our stuff is on its way to London.
Since then we have had a fun break. It has been great visiting with friends and family in Vancouver, Shuswap, Salmon Arm, Victoria and Kelowna. And water skiing in the sunshine. And running with the family dog. And hiking. And flying. And eating Oreos that taste the way they are supposed to.
But soon we are back to London to set up house and get settled in before jobs start. We will keep up the blog while in London and will hopefully have lots of fun stuff to share (like trips all over Europe) even though our year of school, travel and adventure is now over... there is more on the way - stay tuned!
