Canada Day in November!?

Being very multicultural, Insead students and partners take turns hosting national weeks to introduce their home culture to everyone. On November 29th we had Canada Day. Yes day not week; we decided to have one jam packed day instead of a week. Usually the groups do 8-12 things during the week so we figured we would try to do almost as much but all in one day. Unfortunately this didn't quite happen; due to lack of funding we had to cancel a couple of events (breakfast and Cabane a Sucre). But overall the day was still a success. It all starts with a skit done in the classes to tell a bit about the country and what is happening for the week/day.

T-shirts are sold and there is always some sort of party. The events we had were a Canadian lunch featuring smoked salmon and poutine, 2 Canadian movies (C.R.A.Z.Y and Strange Brew), a Canadian trivia game with ice wine as the prize, ice wine tasting, and an ice skating party complete with Canadian music.

The skating was brilliant! Loads of fun! And good (canadian?) pizza and beer!
