Snow Day!
Who knew we would get snow days while living in London. But with 14" on the ground and no trains or buses running we were at home for the past 2 days. Yay! We both tried to work from home with varying degrees of success - Sarah baked cookies rather than mark. It was great to see everyone home from work and school and outside playing, taking full advantage of this rare event (it was the best snow fall in 18 years, although the news called it the worst snowfall in 18 years - it is all about perspective!)
Amsterdam
A couple weekends ago we did one last flight with carry-on bags only and went to Harlem to visit friends Jan and Rianne and their kids. It was a great relaxing weekend with a walk on the beach and sand dunes on Saturday morning followed by a nap in the afternoon (adults included!) and a walk around town.

On Sunday we headed into Amsterdam, took a canal boat tour and wandered around. Then we headed back to their place for dinner before flying home. And our last flight of not having to wait for bags was done.

New Wheels
We bought a car last week. It is big (for here anyways - especially down the little roads with people parked on the sides), it is blue, it seems to drive well and Sarah has almost stopped trying to get in the wrong side.

For those of you who like car details here is the rest... It is a 2004 Passat wagon. It is an automatic with tiptronic and has the 1.9 diesel Highline engine with 130hp. It has leather seats so that spit-up is easy to wipe off. And Sarah's favourite is that it has heated seats.
