May Long

For the May long weekend we headed up to Yellowknife to visit Pat and Marley and to see the NWT. The weather was fantastic with bright sunny skies so we headed to the outdoors, which is the highlight up there (although old town is neat the city isn't much to look at!). We had never seen the Canadian Shield and were amazed at the rock everywhere. Mostly we relaxed, using Kian's naps as an excuse, but did do a tiny bit of canoeing on the Yellowknife river (it was interesting trying to get a life-jacket done up around Sarah's bump), walking around town and the local lakes and hiking to a local waterfall.

Number 2

We just had our detailed scan and once again we couldn't wait to find out what it is. And also once again baby was cooperating and showing off his bits. It was even obvious to us. One good thing is that we won't have to do any shopping at all!
Busy Weekends

All of our weekends here seem to be quite busy... and not with house renovations or work work but the good kind of busy with biking, hiking, food, family and relaxing.
This weekend was no exception except that Doug's brother Pat and wife Marley were in town from Yellowknife and it was Sarah's dad's birthday so there was more fantastic family time. So this weekend involved tennis, the boat show, family dinners everynight and ATVing. We are looking forward to warmer weather (especially since we were all in long johns while ATVing and it snowed on us) and lots more weekends outdoors.
